I thought that I might put up a list of extra parts ordered.

Reason being, that the total of all these additional parts and the heli just costs me AUS$ 60-, more then a bog standard Vibe50.
Now if the heli is anywhere near as good as it is made out to be, then this has got to be the biggest bang for the bug on the market now.

1 x Extreme50 G10 with the orange Canopy
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spares/Upgrades:

1 x metal tailblade holders with Thrust bearings (if it requires anything else
for the conversion...add it please)
1 x metal fan
2 x Mainshafts
2 x Spindle shafts
2 x flybars
2 x tailrotor shafts
2 x metal booms
1 x set of boom braces
1 x set of landing skids
1 x set of G10 landing gear plates
2 x sets of 3D head dampers

Steelie600
I am not sure what the difference is between the new and old Canopy.

So far I have to check:

New Canopy version
Teflon tubes for the CF pushrod
New style Guides for the Cf pushrods

old canopy is plain and new has new patterns and x-treme 50 on it ill show you

first pic is new style very cool, even better cos its mine!!!

and the second is the old style where you have to put on dodgy stickers.

My vote for new cano!!!!!

oh yeah and the new pushrod guides are a little unclear how to use in the manual but when you fit them take your time and you will get them in correctly. if they are fitted wrong the rod will bind. Personally i dont think you need the teflon tubes for the cost of the carbon rod is it worth arseing about with teflon tubs im just gonna replace mine when they get too worn

Thanks Steelie
Mine got delayed..you guessed it because of the teflon tubes, which arrived today.
As the supplier LHS is a long way away, I now won't be getting it until next week.

Nice heli

I haven't decided on any Mainblades yet. What are you guys running?
Does it come with tailblades?
And again, what size are you running?
I am going to use the GY401 gyro.

Depends on your flying style, RJX makes a great set of 600 carbon mains, they also have 92 and 95mm carbon tail blades, we run the 92mm and they are just right and have plenty of tail authority, if you want outrageous 3D I would recomend the Rotortech 610 3D blades, very agressive and responsive.

im using torsion 600mm blades by petr novotny, and nhp razor tails 92mm with a 401.

this heli is so stable and nimble at the same time that ive got 80% gain in my gyro with heading hold!!!!!! and it doesnt wag but its the most responsive tail ive ever had!! im now using bls451 cyclics with align 2in1 reg 6v output, gy401 with bls251 tail servo stepped down to 5v and 9254 throttle servo with throttle jockey governor. next purchase will be a csm carbsmart to keep the engine running at optimum temparature ive been a busy boy upgrading my setup already and if the missus finds out im a bit dead!!

Flinto,

You don't have to have the "best of the best" as long as you enjoy flying it and it's what you can afford, that's what matters

Go burn some fuel and have some fun!!!

Got my first hover today. Have to thank Clyde for his help. First time I spooled it up the entire heli shook. Turned out the dampeners were not properly lubed. I followed his suggestion to soak them in CRC Silicone lube prior to applying grease. Worked great. I'm using dielectric grease from Auto Zone. The wind was blowing 10+ and gusting so all I did was hover. This machine is very stable in hover the way I set it up.
