I managed to get my hands on a NIB kit minus the 3GX for $250 out the door. Im pretty happy and looking forward to building a new kit... its been a while.

Question for the experienced owners, if you could do it all over again... what is your dream build? What is necessary and what is not?

I was thinking a Boca Bearing kit, Talon 15, and microbeast/sat setup.

Also, I have a brand new set of Hitec cyclic and 5084 tail for my 450x, should I use these in the 250? And put the align servos in the 450x?

Thanks in advance.

You got a good deal, here's my thoughts.

You'll have to boom mount that 5084 if you want to use it on the tail. It's too big to mount in the stock servo tray. It's a good choice for this heli, you just need the two boom mount brackets and the shorter pushrod. The stock tail servo is not very good. I'm using the stock blade 450x/300x tail servo, which holds fantastic on this heli.

I think boca bearings aren't necessary (just my opinion), you'll take out bearings with crashes well before they wear out anyway. Talon 15 is a good choice, nice and light.

Thanks. Is the microbeast a good solution? I have an extra in my parts bin... but Im not opposed to buying something different if its going to make my "250 life" easier.

Im well past the constant crash phase... but always learning new stuff.

I am happy with my microbeast on my Trex250.
I have seen on the forum many others use them as well.
Yes I would say the microbeast is an acceptable solution, and even nicer is you have one to use.
