I use the KST215s. They are great and affordable, for what you are getting. Just make sure you have a BEC that can handle them. I had issues with a 3A BEC.

I got the KST 515mg and also 215mg. Been working well, but they eventually develop slop over time like all metal gear servos do.

There are others that I might give a shot soon.

Servoking(BK Servo Manufacturer) DS999

Alzrc DS452mg

For now I seem to favor Taiwan made servos rather than China

Why not use the Align DS-430M?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-helic...d43001/p268101
$27 each.

Because they are slower than aftermarket servos in the same price range

I prefer the KST over align because of the cost of gear sets. $6 for KST vs $15+ for align.

Do you think the average joe flyer can tell the difference flight wise between speeds of .02 or .03 seconds? What gets better in flight with a faster servo? I've only used the align servos.

I have used the Align DS430 the KST’s and OMG’s, to be honest I couldn’t tell a difference they are all good servos. The replacement gears prices are a moot point if you use the breakable servo arms.

Align Servos has had bad press for so many years now concerning backlash(slop). There is that much competition now that it is extremely hard to be in the servo market. If a servo has slop from the minute you take it out of the packaging with a hefty price tag, it's just not going to sell. I think Align should do the same as what they have done with the gpro, just let it go, no more servos. Just invest more on R&D for the next Trex 450 kit.

Hitec HS-5065MG vs Align DS415 (1 min 59 sec)

As you may have noticed in this 450 forum, KST seems to be the popular choice
