Default Going brushless

I cant stand the cheap 4in1 that comes with the HBFP, It has a veary poor gyro. I just bought the BSR's 2in1 BL ESC. So I should have a really nice flying HBFP when it is all done. I am gonna use the stock e-sky servos. (They seem to be "OK") And i am going to use the BSR's BL motor, And the SR's G110 HH gyro. I am also going to buy an orange RX to bind it to my DX6i. I cant wait to fly it now once it is done, The added headspeed form the BL motor should also make the HBFP alot more stable. I should call mine the HBFP v3. lol

Although, I've never experimented with external gyros on the Bee, I'd say don't expect too much from the motor driven tail. I'm sure there are bad and less bad options, and I'm not sure where the stock CP3 tail is on the list but it's never going to be nearly as good as your Blade 450.

I'd rather try to get familiar with it, and fly what doesn't stress the tail too much. I fly backwards and funnels in some directions but, for example, nose down CCW funnels are too much for this tail. For those, there's your Blade.

The SR tail setup will work on the bee just the same as the CP3 set-up does.
You should be able to get reasonably good tail authority using a avcs gyro but as robbancs said there are limits to what a DD TM can do.

Yeah i know the DD TM is limeted, But i just want to do slow flying with my bee so the tail wont be under any stress to begin with. The stock tail on the bee is alot more limeted than the DD tail motor. IMO

That's true.

When I started, I left the stock tail on for 1 or 2 months. When I replaced, I knew exactly what the benefits were.

I actually did the same with all upgrades, and I enjoyed the journey. But people are different. And you have same experience with the Blade. So you may be looking for something else than I was.

Ok, I just ordered "EVERY THING" to go brushless on my HBFPV2. I ordered the BLADE SR's 2in1 ESC, Main motor, G110 HH gyro, DD TM, and and orange RX. I also bought the BSR tail motor mount and tail fins. I should have it built by next weekend, But the orange RX will prabably take the longest to get here. I am really looking forward to flying my HBFP now, Now i just need to know how to set it up in my DX6i. Oh and the only stock electronics i am going to use are the two cyclic servos. I also bought some tail boom supports just for looks, And i am going to be useing BLADE 400 skids with red e-sky skid pipes.

I like the stock sevos. lol There are so many SR parts gong on my BEE, I am just going to call my honey bee a BLADE 300 SR. Because it's like the 120 SR just in a 300 size heli. lol

But the stock 4in1 is total crap IMO, It wouldint be bad if the tail held, But it dose not. So i had to take matter into my own hands. The only stock parts on my BEE are the main frame, man gear and main shaft, and the rotor head. Every thing els is upgraded.

Will do, I am pretty sure it will handle like the SR's tail dose. It holds solid but has tail wag. So i am expectig a little wag.

my brushless/external gyro setup doesnt suffer from a whole lot of wag if you run in heading hold mode, the problem tends to be that the HB wasnt designed for that much power so if you do a hard punch out the tail blows out and takes a little bit to regain itself so you have to be careful and roll on the throttle slower

it is a blast in FF flight though because it really gets moving if you have the area to fly it
