Default DX7s Timer starting by itself and won't stop

I've got a 2.5 year old DX7s. I normally set my timer on all my models (some 8 of them) to Throttle Out (with the percent set appropriately). So as I exit TH, the time starts (especially on IU mode).

However,on one model which I've recently modified and re-bound to install and setup a new esc, the timer is now screwed.

As soon as I select the model, the timer starts running - even if I have TH on. Also, I can't seem to stop it. I can reset it using the reset button, but then it starts again!

Playing around with the options, the only one I can use acceptably is to set it to use the Trainer button. That way I can start the timer when I decide.

Anybody seen this before?
Anybody know what's going on? Is there anything I can do to fix this? My other models (that I checked) appear to be fine. Also, this behaviour occurs whether I have the heli power-up and armed on not.

Help!
Paolo

If it's just on the one model; likely your end points "travel volume" for the low throttle are set high. Check end points and trim values.
Look on the monitor screen; is throttle high at low stick?

If more than one model then google for transmitter calibration.

I had to adjust the throttle end points for the first time for the new ESC (an Edge Lite 50 for a Blade 450X).

The end points are between 80% and 90%. So what do I do? raise the Throttle out percentage?

Why did you have to change the endpoints from full throw?

You need to adjust for the Edge Lite as per:

Is TH actually activated and not set to INH for that particular model, otherwise the model will always see throttle depending on if using gov or a flat TC? Can you see your throttle value dropping to zero or whatever when you look on the monitor screen

The other less likely is you have the timer accidentally set to "Throttle Stick" vs Throttle Out which are two different things

Try raising the Throttle Out percentage value if all else fails. I can be a little tricky with the Castle ESCs because you wont have a zero throttle ouput value if you have calibrated and set up the ESC using the auto rotation bailout feature checked.

In my case TH is really about 17% throttle using the ABO feature, so I have to set a throttle out value higher than this to avoid the timer running while in TH

Throttle hold was working OK. Don't have auto-bail-out set.

The Throttle-Out value was set to 20%. Changing it (after some testing) to 21% fixed the problem. Confirmed 20% - runaway timer; 21% stops and starts as required (and previously did).

Go figure!

Thanks for the help.

Yes,but that wasn't working either (from memory).

I was checking so many things in a short time, it's now a bit of a blur.

But it seems to be working OK now.
