Default Failure to initialize

Every once in a while if I fly back to back packs the ikon won't initialize.

I land, walk back to pit area, swap batteries, wait for initialization and nothing happens. Look at the ikon and the green light is off and the red light has a slow flash. If I unplug the battery and plug it back in it boots normal. It seems to only happen if I fly back to back batteries. If it sits for a while and I power up it doesn't ever seem to do it.

I am running the latest firmware. The is my first ikon, updated firmware to latest before I ever used it so nothing to compare to. I do know my beast x occasionally did the same thing on another heli.

Anyone ever experience this?

Last time it has happened to me, it was the sbus port that was faulty.
Bad solder joint. But it can be something else, just let you know my experience.

Most likely caused by no radio link. This has probably little to do with the fbl unit. Can only speak from a spektrums users perspective, but it was farly often occurance with dsm2, but a rarity with dsmx. Usually happens when tx is too close to rx antennas when heli is powered.

I had it happen to me and it turned out to be a loose connection to the receiver, I’m running S-bus and the wire had vibrated out just a little on the receiver.

I am running Dsmx and the transmitter was right by the skids, which in turn was right by the satellite both times I've had it happen. Interesting. And when it does happen the light on both satellites is off showing no connection, so transmitter being close is definitely a possibility. Hmm

With no sat link the brain/ikon won't do the three pitch pumps. I make adjustments all the time without TX, and there is definitely no pitch pumps when there is no sat link, but that doesn't mean unit is dead or anything. After flying dsm2 for many, many years, I just out of habit always have my TX 1.5-2ft away from heli. Within arms reach, but not right up against the heli.

Thanks for the help! I'll try keeping it further away.
