Default SE to V2 Upgrade Parts?

Hi Guys:

I have a TREX SE, would like to update to the V2 head. What parts do I need to upgrade to V2 mechanics?

Thanks,
Lee

You need this if you want just strictly the mechanics with no care for the mismatched anodizing when using your V1 parts.

HS1255-84 450V2 Main Rotor Head Set
Price:$80.90

Any real difference in the tail parts? I see they have a tail upgrade kit as well, and new bearing blocks? Will the V1 Blocks work OK? What are the differences besides the Gyro mount base?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Regards,
lee

Bearing blocks are all the same except for color. The reason the gyro is able to mount upside down on the V2 is because the frame is shaped differnt in the back to accomodate the gyro. The block is just flipped over with the only difference in the V2 one is that the Align logo is flipped so it is right side up. The tail has a different pitch slider and I believe the tail rotor hub is different but other than that just the color is that darker blue.

Check out Bob's video which goes over all the V2 differences.

Also I would recommend to get the V2 battery tray it is stronger then the V1 unit and longer. broke the V1 in a crash and the V2 unit looks as if it will hold op to the test. http://www.readyheli.com/HS1246_00_T.../hs1246-00.htm
The only difference in the tail is the V2 has a MUCH better pitch slider. I highly recommend getting that to. preferably the metal one http://www.readyheli.com/HS1200_Meta...w_p/hs1200.htm

save yourself some hassle, get some microheli thrusted grips and some trueblood dampeners. An MJP long carbon plate for the front bracket. some dark blue gears w/autohub,and a good reduction gear set. all less than $50-$60 and as good or better than a V2 except for the new tailpitch slider and tail hub/grips set. Ask me how I know. You can simply get some V2 grips and a 4mm feathering shaft also but MH grips are cheaper more precise!

Thanks for the recommendation, but I prefer to stick with OEM parts as much as possible, due to parts availability.

Cheers!
