Is the MA heavy duty rotor head rod set a Spectra G standard
http://www.miniatureaircraftusa.com/...asp?prod=121-1
Do I already have that on the Spectra G or is that an option? And how much better is it compared to stock? Thanks. |

The stock rods are 2 mm in diameter. The heavy duty rods are 2.5 mm in diameter.
Those rods in the picture look like rods for the flybar arms and the bell mixers. The only rods I would prefer to be the 2.5mm rod on the Tempest 3D head is the pitch rod from the inner swash to the bell mixer. That is the longest rod in the system and the one most likely to take the most stress. David |

Mike,
Well that makes sense then why the upgrade rod kit doesn't have those rods <G>. Personally the rods that in the kit mentioned above. I see no reason for them to be larger than 2mm. On the rotor head, the only rods I prefer to be the 2.5 mm are the ones from the inner swash to the bell mixer. Those are the two longest rods on the head and take the most stress. David |
