Are these quick uk links universal links? Or do they have an orientation?

I am positive that they are directional, not universal...

They are directional but I use them as universal with no problems.. they just snap on that tight.

I can see it now. They are indeed directional.

Anyone try the 96mm kbdd tail blades? I' be been using the 92mm, but they no longer make them so I gotta find something new soon.

I just received a couple of sets of KBDD extreme 96mm tail blades to try out. Unfortunately I am leaving to go out of town this weekend for a couple of weeks so will not get a chance to try out for a while. Have a little tail blow out on hard collective pitch input so I am going to replace the stock 86mm blades and see what happens. The travelling 450 will be going with me though.

Four flights today. Still loving mine. Hopefully part support will continue...I find myself ordering a few things I don't (yet) every time I buy from HeliDirect.

I had a pair of the O550 tail blades on a T-rex 600 and they shucked. $4 part cost $75 damage.
They were the yellow version of these. http://helidirect.com/r550210-wt-tai...550-p-9779.hdx I thought they were the same as KBDD but I was wrong. |

Just dusted it off and flew it around in the street in front of my house. Still flies great.
I don't know why I have not even had one offer on this post. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=436948 I guess everyone is spending their money on a Goblin, (who wants last years heli?) |

Number 2 is that it seems no one wants a flybar heli anymore. So you have 2 things working against you. It is sad because it is a great heli. i am glad I sold my 2 when I could still get something close to reality for what I had into them. I am afraid my outrage day's are over and not because the heli's are bad. Management is bad. |

Ive used the kbdd 96mm. They worked well, I switched to edge 92 since I was chasing tail gain issues. Im not sure which I prefer, Im paranoid when any tail blades make a whining sound after my belt flipping incident.
I had another part failure today. I noticed the head wasnt spinning freely when cogging the motor? The motor mount bearing was all chewed up and the balls got sucked into the motor. I took it apart and the motor looks ok inside. I dont have that size bearing, and teh scorpion bearings are toast as well, so for the time being I threw on a neu 1.5 y h motor to test without a motor mount support bearing. Im presuming itll be a dud on 6s but well see. I also switched to futaba, im gonna maiden the radio and motor tomorrow. |

I decided since I cant sell it, I would fly it and if it crashed it would just be a write-off.
So I took it to the schoolyard and flogged it. Man, does this thing fly good, way beyond my capabilities. It did not crash, just got bug juice on the mains and grass stains on the tail blades. I talked to Charlie Stephens wife at IRCHA- She was still miffed about the shabby way Outrage treated Charlie and Her. Now they think they can rule the world with (2) helicopters in their line up and a bunch of ticked off customers. Darned right the management has it's head up its "S". |
