On that video it sounded like Bert. Have a 770 comp. mine has the shaft support. Will this affect the motor?

Sounded like Bert? The video is me from a few weeks ago lol..
Bert did fly this machine with this motor in it though He put a Pyro 850 in one of his machines as well and also went to 14s. I couldn't charge his packs though, he was using Castle connectors.

The extra shaft support on the Goblin is only needed for motors with a 6mm shaft. The idea of an 8mm shaft on the motor like this has is so that you do not need the shaft support. 8mm is huge. Never seen one damaged yet and the oversize bearings take much more abuse as well.

I have flown mine on 14s with and without the shaft support on my SHS Gob 800 (770 stretched). Ran good either way. Few run the shaft supports with 8mm shaft based motors.
