Default Hello from Vancouver

Always been interested in helicopter and been a plane flyer. Scooped up a 200 srx to give it a go few months back and a guy from my club gave me a Blade 120 to play with. Steeper learning curve I find but this forum has a pile of usefull information. One thing is it me? A new member thing? But I cannot view others profiles? My posts don't show up right away? And I can't add a avatar?

Welcome to the forum. Are you in Vancouver BC or Washington?

New members go through a short period with some restrictions like you are experiencing. The more posts you make the quicker the restrictions will get lifted. It's just a way to keep the forum spam free and works pretty well. I know it's a little inconvenient to the new member but in the long run it's worth it. A few years from now you'll forget it ever happened.

Hi and welcome! Well to answer your questions first, the site does have certain rules to make absolutely sure you are not a robot. So it does not allow you to do a few things until you have posted a few questions and can be "trusted". Don't worry with the amount of information and the potential questions you will have you will end up without restrictions in less than you know it.

I do recommend starting with a computer simulator. You do have two good basic helicopters that can help you on your journey. But read along and hope it helps you a bit:

Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome I am in Vancouver Canada, I had sent a PM to a admin who responded and explained it to me. I have been on the hunt for a simulator as well as a larger helicopter the guys I fly with suggesting a Gaui x3 vs Blade products I image everyone is going to have a difference of opinion lol.

Shout out to those in the hobby who spend the time with new people if it wasn't for you people I likely would have just stuck with planes
