Default Quick question

Hey Guys,
I think I want to get into the FBL action. is this what i want if i'm gonna get the BeastX? http://www.rchover.com/Microbeast-Combo-Flybarless-p/btxm76000c.htm

I'm planning on taking the electrics out of my Cypher :
cyclics= DS 410
esc= Align E35G
bec= Castle creations 10amp
motor= Align 430xl
RX = FUTABA R617FS
Gyro = GY401
Tail Servo = s9257

and putting them in an EXI 450 , will i be good with this set up? I already fly an EXI and think i like it better then my Cypher

Yeah thats what you need. you could save about $20 bux and ditch the USB adapter, since they don't have the PC software for it yet. and it ships with v2.0 firmware.
but then again you might as well get it since they should have the software soon.
plus its only $20 bux.
BEASTX is great.

I heard the Align servo's arnt good for the BeastX .. torque and voltage .. is this true?

also, i saw a vid of a guy programing the Beastx with a wireless programer, where can i get one ? I havent been able to find one . is it needed ?

and last question ( for now) what's the real difference with blades? do i NEED fbl blades or can i just use the ones i have and just make sure the lead edge balances right?

I've been doing alot of reading and cant seem to find the answers

Thanx

You do not need the 401 tail gyro...the beastx is a tail gyro.

I have been using the DS410M without issue... I also use the EDGE FBL blades.

FBL blades are more stable and put less stress on the servos. Yes...you should use FBL blades.

Do you have DS410 or DS410M?

Also you will need a FBL head.

ya, I know about the Gyro and Head.
I'm using just the 410's .. why? does FBL cause them to strip ezr ?
I'm running metal gears on my other Heli , was thinking about just setting this one up as FBL but just wired it and really dont want to re~wire it again

FBL links the servos more directly to the blades and puts more of a load on them, in a crash your allot more likely to strip a servo gear.

+1

also there are some failures on the 410's.... you have to run them at 65hz I believe. Not at 333hz.

In the BeastX when you set up the servo type you can set the frequency at 50hz, 65hz...all the way to 200hz. The higher the better but you have to see what your servo can handle. Apparently even though the DS410 is digital and should be able to do 333hz it is suggested to run it at 65hz. The higher the Hz setting the more power/speed it produces...but can also draw more current and make more heat. So start with a low setting if you are not sure and check the heat levels on the servo itself.

At this point I believe the MKS95 is the best servo you can get for the 450 FBL helis. A bit pricey but when it comes to FBL having a fast servo with sufficient torque is what makes it better. Check the Align 3g 450 manual for specs...you'll see a recommendation of 0.09 for the speed and 2.2kg for torque if I remember correctly.
