Default Motor Connectors

Sorry for the basic question, but what is the connector (and size) from the motor? I got a new ESC but it didn't come with any connectors.

On the battery side I will use EC5s.

Guys - I really need some help I found a straight looking connector that seems right but I can't fit the ESC wire and solder in the other end.

Really confused.

How do you fit 10 AWG wire in the 4mm Connector?

with the wire stripped and the bullets soldered correctly there should be no issue.

Your motor/ESC wires are 10AWG? That is highly unusual. Power input from batteries, may well be, but I've not seen the motor leads this large.

I used the connectors the connectors from the EC5 on my 700 heli , so if you got them arround I would use them , just swap the one on the motor side , just a tip , they are 5mm connectors ( ok got lots of EC5 connectors )

I think the castle ice hv80 has 10 gauge motor wire. I used the 5 mm bullets from EC5's myself. The stock bullets were too small for 10 gauge.

You are correct - this is on my replaced CC ICE2 HV80.

The boys from my LHS suggested trimming the 10g down slightly so they fit the normal 4mm connector. According to them, they do it all the time.

I tried to get a connector that was fatter than 4mm on the ESC side (to fit the 10 gauge wire) but still 4mm on the motor side - no shops had them in town. BTW, my Blue Sky Lipos seem to have these connectors, but they must solder them with Concrete, as I had a heck of a time getting them appart.

They might be torch soldered. I recently started using a torch to solder bullet connectors and they are more difficult to desolder with a regular soldering iron afterward.
