Default What kind of Head Speed are you guys getting?

I have a second 500 and I have been thinking about doing this conversion. I've been flying the heli on the stock power system for over a year, and I think a little higher Hs is better. So I really want to know what a reasonable HS to expect from the nitro version?

Over 3K yesterday. Need to install a GOV. What are you guys running for governors. I have heard the Align GOV with the Spektrum sensor and bracket? Is this the hot ticket?

Will i'm really happy with the Multigov Pro and Skepturm rpm Sensor . had it tach today and was right on. Thinking next time out going with Idle 1 @ 2850 Idle 2 @ 2950 still looking for that 6 minute mark without running into the header tank.

So 2900 is giving 6 minutes of solid 3D, with a small header tank? Do you guys have any links to video of the heli doing 3D?

I was thinking of using the AR7100R, any thoughts or research done going that route yet?

Check the bearings in your pinion setup.

I thought about it. But the size of the RX made placement a little difficult. I went with the 7000, instead.

I just watched the one on the finless thread, awesome! That heli has a revmax? and you couple it with the Spektrum sensor? I wonder how the JR 3517MGs would do on 8 volts?
I need to start saving my pennies!

Default Gear ratio

What's the gear ratio with this pulley system?

I'll be setting one up this weekend and need to calculate HS for this? Thanks

Nevermind I found it: 6.09 to 1

so at 18000 (peak HP) I should get almost 3K HS. I can't wait!!!
