Default Vbar on 600N servo wheels

Anyone running Vbar on their 600N? If so what servo wheels are you using to get correct throws? The original ones on my heli are throwing it way out. I could redrill them but prefer to buy some that already work. Thanks for any help.

Just built a 600n dfc with vbar and I had to use the 6 sided star horns that came with the align servos. With the inside holes i got perfect values in vbar but i had to mount the links on the outside of the horns for them to not bind.

Good to know guys thanks. Anyone know a part number on those servo wheels so I can order them up? Runar thanks for the bit about the links on the outside. I had to do it the same way on my Rave with Vbar. No issues and 10 gallons of nitro through it now.

Thanks for the number van. I actually looked through all the bags of stuff I got with the heli last summer and there were 4 of them in there. Thanks again for the help.

Are these the very inside holes that you are talking about?

Thanks for that.
I did have a regular Align FBL head on the previous 600N and the balls were one in from the outside.
Just making sure before I get the servo's in.

To achieve the correct values in Vbar on my dfc, I had to use the star horns, the inner holes and mount the balls on the outside of the horns.

OK great.
Swash plate balls for the linkage to the head as per Align instructions?
Choice of two holes here I think.

The 600N in the Flybarless configuration has a LOT of mechanical throw.

The purpose of moving the balls in on the servo horns is to increase the resolution for your FBL unit. You will find you will want to use the inner holes on the DFC swash to further improve the resolution.

Are there shorter aileron and elevator levers for the 600N?

I have a vbar and I am basically doing what you guys are doing. With JR servos, I am using the small wheel, the inner hole, and have the links on the outside to avoid binding. However, I'm still slightly outside the correct zone in the vbar settings (probably around 75). Also, in-flight, the heli does not feel as smooth and stable as my other vbar ships.

There are not any shorter arms offered by Align unfortunately.

Does anyone have a picture of the elevator with the balls moved to the outside? How close is the rod to the mainshaft? or are people only moving the aileron and pitch servo/bell crank balls to the outside?

Cheers Stu

I left the elevator servo balls pointing inside. I have just a bit of interference. binding, but decided to live with it.

The rods are very close to the main shaft! When I left the links on the inside, the heli flew strange due to the binding

Thanks for the replies guys :-)

I had a feeling the elevator linkages might be close to the main shaft! If they fit then I will probably move all of them to the outside so they are the same. I really want to get the resolution good.... these sort of things bother me, knowing they aren't right

It is a shame Align haven't corrected/improved the bell crank situation to lessen the mechanical throws, especially on the newer kits, but not overly surprising! I guess it works.......

I am having the same issues with my trex 600n with ikon2/brain. The resolution is around 20% and in the red for both cyclic and collective. I think it's ridiculous that we have to re engineer the Heli to get it to act right. Frustrated with this one now. Think I'm gonna stick to goblins....
