Default Taxxas Summit FPV

I've been customizing a Traxxas Summit for use in FPV (First Person Video) driving. It's a good way to experiment with different antenna and transmitter configurations, before doing similar setups on my helicopter. But it's also a lot of fun just driving it around the park!

Last night, I decided I was finally done with the body and chassis modifications, and switched over to use the Futaba T7C transmitter for driving. (Yes, I still have remote control over the locking differentials and high/low gear selection.) Time for a "beauty shot."

The video system is working, but the truck and pan/tilt system puts out more RF interference than expected. An early "Phase 1" video shows the early body work and a shaky-as-hell temporary camera scaffolding made of Erector/Meccano toy parts. A "Phase 2" video will be up in the next few days.

I'll also be putting together the list of components I've put into this, from the GoPro Hero HD camera, the FPVpilot.com pan/tilt system, the Futaba parts, the video systems, and the final bracket that holds all of this together.

Thumbs up nice cusom look

But I have a mamba monster and 40 series beadlocks flashing lights and lotsa light for night crawling but with 2 lipos3cell 4700's and weather or not you run series or parallel which is 22v, this truck geared low will still do 60 mph and 25 in low range and enough torque to push my toyota rav 4 suv !!! i love the body work you did though. I still have not gone past 2/4 throttle its a serious BEAST.

I'd be interested to see anyone's FPV trucks. I'd like to get/build one that I can use my heli TX and batteries in (DX8, 3S 2200 mAh).
