Thanks, I will try some.

In general what is the procedure for converting the 2s pack into two 1s batteries? I'd like to have a good idea before I dive in. Thanks!
There is some really good aluminum solder out there. Special "tin" and flux. Works like a charm .
Don't remember where I bought, but it is Uniweld UNI-4300.

Got to say that my Nanotech 300mah 45-90C batteries are still good as new. I fly to 4-4.5 minutes with a HP05/HP03 MCPX. Definitely no need for more mah's with this spec. Standard connectors too.

You can definitely tell and hear the difference running a higher mAh battery and Deans micro plugs compared your set-up. Night and day. I have flown both set-ups in several conversions, my own and others folks, and the difference is glaring.

I'm surprised you can get 4-4.5 minutes out of the nanotech 300mah 45-90c batteries. What kind of flying are you doing? On my hp05/HK 12000kv mcpx the nanotech 300s with standard connectors come down at 3.72v after 2:30 of flipping it around. My xp-7a is shot though and the motor bogs really hard even with the gov set at 65% at 75% pitch travel. I have a new one on the way with micro deans connectors. Hopefully things will get better.

That said I bought the nanotechs and hyperion 550s at the same time. The nanotechs have much more punch than the hyperions even though the hperions last longer and hold up better for the entire flight. I also think that the hyperions have a better life span based on performance of previous batteries. All in all, I think it's a tough call. I'm actually considering picking up some Glacier 600 batteries. The are slightly fatter than the hyperions, but the specs list them as 3 grams lighter. I know people used these in the past. How are they on performance?

The nanotechs are still going as strong as ever. I think I am governed at 70-75% which is about as fast as this motor will go. My flying is just loops, rolls, inverted and rainbows, so it could be flown a little harder. No bogging at all and never had a LVC.
