Default VBar Governor and sensor glitches

I have two Logo 600SE’s equipped identically. They have the Hobbywing Platinum 120A-HV ESC with a Scorpion 4035-500 and the Hyperion phase sensor. The ESC is set to:
Brake: Off
Battery: Lipo
Cut Off; Soft
Threshold: Middle
Start Mode: Normal
Timing: 7.5 degreees
Governor Mode: Off
PWM: 12 KHz
Cells: 12

I am running them without blades on the bench for testing. Logo 1 appears to work well. However the governor on Logo 2 does not appear to hold a constant speed. The reading in the software jumps all over and you can hear the head speed vary as it is sitting there. The requested speed is correct. I attached the log from the vstabi software which shows sensor glitches. The settings between the two are, as far as I can tell, identical. I set up the system following the procedure in the vbar 101 videos. I have the grounds installed and they show continuity – although it is to the negative on the battery and not the motor mount. I put some silicon on the belt and no difference. Can it be a bad sensor? Static? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sensor glitches and errors around ON and Stop is OK, and fully normal.

Have you the ESC grounded (Receiver port negative -> Programming lead of the Hobbywing)?
If not, that might be an idea if you have unstable RPM, but your log is actually normal with no real error.

I am using satellites so I have the ESC throttle plugged into the vbar - all three wires. I assume this grounds the ESC to the vbar through the neg wire. Should I also have a ground wire from the vbar into the separate programming lead on the ESC?

No, Hobbywing's throttle cable does not have ground connected, you need to run separate cable -> programming cable...

But that's only if you have real problem, as the log you have is not ground for it...

I will give it a try when I get home - maybe I will get lucky.

I ordered a new sensor just in case it is that. I guess I can swap the ESC with the other heli and see if the problem follows the ESC. But I am hoping is is setup and not equipment, it is a lot less expensive that way!
