Whatever it takes. At this point I have NOT put it on an EB to discern if it needs 1 ounce or 2.....

Who cares anyway? It's heavy as hell anyway. Another few ounces won't hurt anything.

Ordered 10 of the rear mounts from Zimmermann. They look to be busy between the Spectra guys all getting together to have a muffler made, and getting ours finalized...

Should have the first 9 of the side mounts in shortly....

Spring is here and flying weather has arrived. I have just over an hour airtime with the muffler and I love it. MUCH quieter than the original with a very nice sound. It has turned into a very nice gold color.

yes, they are very nice...but apparently Chris' buying power for these mufflers is no better than the old muffler that fell apart. I've had two on back order for two Observers for about 4-5 months, now. We have aircraft that are grounded waiting on these mufflers, because the stock box muffler is not usable with our configuration.

Hi Chris

Its nice to see a german muffler on your helis Zimmermann is a very good company. I also got a Zimmermann muffler on my T-Rex 600. Very low noise and the motor runs very good with it.

For ppl who dont need much power but very smooth running motors, Zimmerman is the best choice

Does this mean you don't have any on order? I don't get it. If I can order direct, surely you can get them? I'd rather do business with you, than some goober in Germany.

Just got a response from Zimmerman. They will not sell to the public. We are looking at other alternatives.

That's good news as I will take either a rear mount or a side mount-- either one will be an improvement. Please let me know if/when you get them so I won't miss out this time. By the way-it's hot and humid down here.
