Please create a new thread if you are making queries about a battery.. This thread is only for adding batteries to the database.

If you want this thread to just be a battery general discussion got for it.. My intention was to consolidate a list of batteries that are confirmed to fit with the X5, rather than have numerous discussions about which battery might or might not fit..

I not a moderator so i cant delete it, otherwise i would have deleted it..

I was just making a simple request to keep the thread easy to read for new owners to find an accurate list of what DOES fit.

Perhaps next time use the search function:

TP 3800/45C
work just fine with a fence; no interference anywhere
X5 flybar

caveat: if you are running Savox servos (suckers are heavy) you will be tail down CG.

Default 4k Nanos 45c do fit with no fence

No modification to canopy or heli. Just mounts really close to the motor. Too far away and Canopy won't fit. It has been the only battery I've used since I got my X5. Confirm it!

I cant edit my original post anymore as its past the time/no. edits before it gets locked.

The mods i.e. nexgen will have to update the list with the new batteries.

How about “rating” the packs considering value for money/performance/practicality...
This should spark some debate… I’ve done some sniffing through RC forums, and it seems though the Voltz packs are the best choice for the X5. They are light, they fit and does the job pretty well so far. I would like to get some feedback on packs that have been used for > 100 cycles. Manufactures’ claims flat discharge rates, and it might be true, but is the same story after 100 cycles?

Actually this battery (and probably 30C / 40C versions also since they are same size) fits very nicely with battery fence when wires are on the top and narrower side of battery is on the battery plate.
I couldn't put canopy on when wires were down and wider side was on the battery plate.

Has anybody flown the X5 with Spyder 6S 4000MAH 30C packs? I just ordered a couple of packs but I've never even seen anybody mention Spyder batteries in this forum.

I have one of these packs for my X5, good power, never comes down warm. I charge mine at 3C no issues at all.

Kypom 4200mah/35C are currently listed in the unconfirmed section, these definitely fit with battery fence.

Im pretty sure these are made in the same factory as Voltz, going by the size and weight.

I guess I should note that I have the battery fence and the Spider 4000mAh pack fits perfectly and CG is spot on.
