Everybody I know is running 1.2 with really great results.

Most I see try to tune out bobbles and shakes with gains instead of head response and servo refresh rates.

All in all it should take 10-15 minutes to do an initial setup and then no more than 2-3 tuning flights.

I had a wobble in my 550 running a 750 v1.2. I lowered the Dgain from 200% to 30% and increased the Igain to 60%. No more wobble. My aileron and elevator gains are up around 75% to 80%.

Once I finally got it tuned V1.2 is good. The biggest improvement Futaba could make would be adding a GUI with setup wizards. They should also simplify the Piro Comp procedure, as it’s way too complicated. Other brands have simpler and better piro comp.

If they make a GIU version that will be a major change and they will probably call it 2.0.

I don't own one yet, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the CGY750 does not yet support a govenor for an electric heli yet, right? If that is the case, I would like to see that added.

It can be done, but it's a bit cumbersome.

The big issue with the V1.2 is the tail not holding on flips, Dr.Ben on runryder actully confirmed with me that it can't be tuned away and a fix is needed.

So when's that coming please?

Very confused, my 1.2 works really well. It's almost freaky how much I like it.

Its true that hard elevator inputs makes the helicopter spin clockwise. I can correct for it. But the ting is that this problem dont go away by not talking about it.

The problem is that is way harder to setup than other brands – especially the piro comp. In order to compete they need a nice PC based GUI program.

Also EP governor support. Apparently Futaba has not realized that there are a lot of electric helicopters out there. They need to have an option that includes Phase Sensor support. Futaba should also make their own digital phase sensor.

Sorry guys. My patience was up. Yesterday a dealer offered me 2 brand new BeastX units for my 2 CGY-750 units. I have the BeastX on another helicopter and it works very well so I know I will be satisfied with it.
See you guys in another life. Maybe

Funny how this hobby works. I sold a Beastx to buy my CGY750. Loved the BeastX but fancied a change. I love how the CGY750 and 8FG just work together perfectly, has it's own built in governor etc.

In Futaba's defense the electric heli market is relatively new

Seriously though, I'm getting tired of trying every adjustment known and still have issues. One heli still wobbles bad in hover, and the other won't hold position, drifts. I've tried everything discussed in this forum as well as the "Consolidated V1.2" tips on the other site. Seriously considering trying another FBL unit. Might try the new SK540 when it comes out.

I'd trade my CGY for a new beastx in a nano second.
