Merci Fabien

So module 0.8 doesn't allow to intermix with Logo gears which are module 1.
How about the boom diameter?

HI,

the tail boom diameter is 21mm and the main gear is 100.9 mm approx. The hole for the one way unit is 16.8mm diameter and the "flange" for the one way large disc sitting is 34.9mm appros. There are 4 holes for fitting the one way and they are 29mm spaced.

I donot know if it is possible to fit the main gear and ti's one way unit / pulley on a logo, i will aska friend to give a look,

Best regards,

Fabien

Default Beam E6 Grip Bearings

Fabien, Working this week on the E6 I picked up from you in Toledo. Instructions show removal of the bearings in the grips in order to apply grease to the thrust bearings. All bearings (including radials) are installed in the grips very tight! Question is: how to remove them. I don't want to tap on them for fear of damaging the radials (lateral load). Is heat involved (i.e.heat the aluminum grip, aluminum expands than steel, thereby releasing the steel bearing case? Thanks.

Does this bird balance with a 6s 5000 45c pack? I love the ease of just one pack and quick charge times I get on my rex 600 but these beams are like jewelry. I wouldnt mind trading up.

I am using Turnigy 5000mah, 6S, 40C packs. They balance fine. You can add some foam to move the pack forwards if need be as they lay back at an angle. However, I am only sport flying on 6S. I can fly easliy for 4.5 minutes.

yes heat is involved. Remove all parts and place the grip in the oven at 100°C for 10 min. You should then be able to easily remove the ball bearings from the grip.

My thrust bearings in the grips were already greased from the factory.

Default 6S

What motor/pinion would be good for a CC 100HV Ice 2 and 6S 5000mah packs? I want to share packs with my 700e...

I'm using an 1100kv motor on 6S. The manual suggests a 12 tooth pinion so that is what I am using.

Thumbs up I Can't Stop...

I told myself that I'll be FINE if I stick with 500 class Helis and below...BUT, then I saw this Kit on A Main Hobbies and WANT it!

WwwHhhYyy, Why, does this Heli have to be so easy to put together! And the ability to run 6S if I want to Sport Fly or do Mild 3D is a Huge plus to me for a 600. I have to hold out...!

The only thing that doesn't sit well with me during the Build, should I get this kit, is Baking my Grips...

Hi Guys,

i was planning to get a new 600er bird and after I have seen TT X50, Compass 6HV, Rex600 I just followed this thread and the videos.
So I ordered a kit from FastLad (Thx Andy) and what shall I say : AWESOME
The build was really fun.

Motor is Scorpion 4035-560KV on 12S
ESC is Power Jazz (or Fusion Hawk 120HV)
Servos are Futaba 451 cyclic and tail Futaba 251
VBar 5.3

Just set up the VBar and hoping to maiden next weekend.

Thanks for your infos here.

Wow, that scorpion motor is going to have loads of power!! I'm running the HK-III 4025-550 and it has more grunt than I need right now. Lol

Post a vid of it flying I you can? I'd love to see it in action!

The beam doesn't get much love on here at the moment, maybe due to the long parts shortage recently. Which is a shame, because it really is a top quality heli that's so easy to build and maintain!

Yeah, the scorpion is really huuuge. Took it from my Henseleit MP XL E i crashed a few month ago.

Will take a vid as soon as weather will clear up and maiden comes up.

Here in germany parts are available as i could see. Will order some Parts to have them stored.
Just wondered : on pics i always can see f.e. 2 tailbooms in a pack. Are really 2 booms in a pack then ?

Well, with a curve in the radio , ok
But if you are using a governor you should use the 13

Hi guys,

i just made a quick maiden flight.

Everything was really smooooooth. Only the tailbelt was not thight enough.
But the Scorpion has really loads of power.
Tail was rock solid... and i just had 1600 headspeed to test.
Which blades do you use ? Mine are really thight in blade grips.

Default Beam AvantGarde building step by step

Using my old Aligns I had to grind off 1mm on each side.
Rails 606 on the other hand fit perfectly
My favorite blades now.
