Default Diabolo pronunciation?

Just wondering how the maker intended it to be pronounced and even the background of the choice of the name Diabolo. I've been pronoucing it sort of as it's spelt ( Dye-a-bowl-o ) but heard someone else pronounce it Diablo. Could be construed as somewhat diabolical

I think you are correct. MC state clearly it is named after the spinning top toy or a bullet of the same name.

Resemblance of the name or the canopy rotor cut out to a demonic entity is purely coincidental

Wow, I should've read that more carefully on the Diabolo web page. I remember reading the first part about the toy but it went over my head as I've never heard of that toy till I googled it just now.

Glad I'm not the only one to ask this question. I asked Chuck Birt how it was meant to be pronounced at IRCHA 2013 and was told Diablo.

It mentions the devil on the Minicopter site as well

Thanks guys. I guess the video answers my question even though I suppose the German pronunciation is always going to be different to English.
