No I got myself a FBL setup for the 500 for christmas. It was a trade off. I still have the other 120SR with the scale Coastguard body but I have not flown her for probably 2 months .
BTW that 120SR in the pool, I got it all dried out and it was back in the air in about 3 hours. I could not believe it myself (that's the one that I hooked on the tree in the wind later)...

looks good!anyhow, here is mine.fabricated tail fin and home made canopy.used an empty shampoo bottle to make it.took a couple of days to get it how i wanted(at least for now).still flies good too.would have still had the stock canopy on it if i did not break it.this one should last it is a little thicker.waiting on mia landing gear to complete the look.will probably trim the skids a little shorter.wont know until i actually put them on to see.i have been in rc for about 30 years.boats, trucks, tanks, and now helis.should have got into flying a long time ago-

hi, here is my 120.mia landing gear struts, soon to have carbon fiber skids.home made canopy(johnson and johnson shampoo bottle)sanded and painted.i did do the washer mod to the head assembly using steel washers to replace the brass ones eliminating play but not binding.i used a ball link end from rc stampede to mount my tail fin.thats all i can think of doing to it now without compromising its flight characteristics.
this might sound stupid but is there any way to angle carbon fiber rod?maybe heating it?

here it is all done! for now .tail fin held in place with a ball link end from rc stampede.had to lightly sand hole to accommodate the tail motor housing.then i sanded one side flat, drilled a hole and attached fin with small screw.modified the mia landing gear.alluminum skids bent way too easy so i replaced them with carbon fiber solid rod.(kite brace) which is held in place with fuel tubing.canopy was made from a johnson and johnson shampoo bottle.had to sand thinner to reduce weight(still stronger than stock canopy).anyone know if it is possible to bend carbon fiber?possibly heating it?sorry i seemed to have repeated myself

I am pretty sure that is paint..too small of a diameter for a straw..unless desoldering and resoldering was done.

You really don't want to add too much weight back there...I use a straw......and you can change colors.
