Default 2 Free Mainshafts with SR120 Tail Upgrade!

Sorry if this has been posted before I haven't seen it and thought it would be worth bringing up as it helped me. For the guys doing the SR120 tail upgrade if you are getting the whole tail assembly kit and not just the motor I just realized that the boom is the exact perfect size for mCPX mainshaft! It even has flats on each end so you can get 2 good main shafts all you need to do is cut to length and drill your holes. Done.

Now if I can just figure out how to drill those super small holes in the center of that tiny shaft.

Good luck to all and happy flying!

good tip
also if you have access to a drill press with a vice for it. you can lock down the shaft and keep it inline for drilling the holes.

Take an old shaft and tape it to the new shaft with some blue painters tape. Make sure the holes are lined up so you can use the old holes as a guide to drill through the new shaft. I also put mine in a vice that goes on top of my drill press . Then I send the drill bit through the hole of the old shaft and into the new one. A good eye is also needed to line things up.
