Default Hp03t Programming from main motor signal

Ok so after failing all day to get my hpo3t to take a programming mode i soldered the tail signal wire to the main motor signal resistor like suggested. The tail motor will run and requires to be armed first just like the main motor but there are no arming tones.

The esc makes noise when i plug it in, the 3 tones, but there is no arming tones or programmin tones when i try to enter programming mode. Am i missing something here or are the tones for the tail just DOA?

i havent had any luck, i think its going into programming mode but not making the audio beeps. I just wanted to change the tail gain so i measured the time from my main motor how long it takes to get to the correct value and just went through the normal programming steps without the audio and timed myself as to when to save the setting. Im pretty sure it worked because today the tail felt alot better but i wont know for sure untill my toolstick shows up.

I wonder if pulling power would default the settings and get you back to the default tail gain. The manual says If for some reason there is an error in the eeprom/flash write operation (e.g. due to loss of power or low voltage), defaults will be loaded.

Are you sure your tail esc has programming mode enabled. When you flash the esc it has a checkbox in the software to allow programming from TX or not. This might have been turned off when you had it built from Mega.

I turn mine off on the tail as I don't want it accidently programming on me, which did happen before I turned it off.

Do you have the motor connected to the esc when you plug it in (while your signal is on the main point)?

The motor is what emits the beeps not the esc.. you may be in the programming mode already and not know/hear it..

ya, i read the other thread, i cant hear anything though, theres always noise coming from somewhere in my house, wether its the ac or the dog farting i cant hear the beeps! But after i did the timing from the main motor signal i took it out today and never had a tail issue at all, i scraped my big tail fin which was hurting me also but the tail was rock solid today. My toolstick will be here on thursday and i will flash it with the updated code if its done by then. Thanks for the help!
