Default Stock charger has to go!

So i've only had two flights on my new bird and so far I like everything about it...

Except the stock charger is slowly killing me

I have to convert this bad boy to micro deans and fast so I can use my Turnigy charger!

I know how to solder the micro deans onto the red/black cable but if I were to use the balance connector how do I wire it to the white balance wire on the battery? Is it as simple as the white wire goes to the white wire on the balance plug?

Also, The only balance plug I have is the one shown in the pic which is from a 3s battery. Will that still work?

Thanks!

Check out my post a few spots down, simple charger/balance mod, I used a balance lead from a 3s battery. Works great. I can post a pic of the solder job if you need it.

I did see your post, I would just prefer to not have to use the stock charger at all. Just trying to come up with a home made way to plug the stock battery into my good charger.

The stock charger is basically only used for the umx port. Its not powered on, and can be easily undone. I figured this way was easier and safer than cutting up a brand new battery.

Just got my 130x tonight, no lhs has an acceptable battery, or adapter for the eflite battery, so I just had to make do with what I had... to each his own.

By the way, 10 flights now, running great. Love this thing. Yes the umbrella gear rubs a bit.. I'm starting to see dust on the servo where it hits, but all seems fine, for now.

i'm going straight for micro deans so i really don't want to use the umx port on the charger...

If that is the case can I just take the white wire from the stock battery and hook it to the white wire on the balance connector?

Yes, it does nothing during discharge.

And red on the battery, to blue on your balance lead.

ok, maybe I should just mod the stock charger....

Can you post how you solder it up? In your other thread if you wish to keep it going.

Thanks for your help. I would much rather charge up in 20 min that an hour!

:-)
