3rd TT bearing and Vibes!

has anyone installed a third TT bearing to get rid of vibrations? and if so, what frequecies were your vibes at?

Just build it strictly according to the manual and you will have no problem with vibes. Some TT tubes are about 1mm too long and this causes it to bow once fitted, so check that rather that adding anything.

my kit came with a 3rd tt bearing (nov 2011) with instructions to fit it.

Mine came in March 2012 and had a page inserted in the ziplock bag.

Third bearing block, new style head etc was in the 2010 update and later. According to the info I have on the third bearing block, in my second kit, it was added due to changes on how they mount and material changes to the torque drive tube itself.

Never had a single problem with the TT on the TDR, so follow the instructions and it just works, vibe free..

Are you sure? Rocker head is from model 2010 but third bearing is update for year 2012.

Correct! Got my kit on November 4th 2011 without the third bearing and holder. Still I will fly her as is as I am quite sure my vibs come from my flying!! Thanks again for all input guys!!
