Default gyro information

I know this is a helichopter forum but who better to give me advice on gyros them you guys!... I a building an rc catamaran and plan to incorperate a gyro for stabilazation purposes. the boat will have a tunnel wing on the rear bottem of the boat. the plan is to put a gyro in the nose. when the nose rises the gyro will lower the tunnel flap, creating lift on the rear of the boat and hopefully will help level it out and prevent blowovers. Problem is i am new to gyros. any suggestions/ tips on whitch type of gyro and servos would be a great help. thanks

Any decent brand gyro should work for this.Good used gyros are a very common item on the for sale section here. You also need a special "High speed" servo, that is made specifically for gyro use.Example would be align gp780 gyro and align ds 520 servo.Example futaba 401 and 9257 servo..Another good choice if you don't need tx control of the gyro gain is the futaba 240 gyro,it is adjustable with a pot on the gyro so you do not need an extra channel to operate it..
These gyros are made to correct yaw on the heli .you will have to mount the gyro on its side to correct up/down motion..Good luck..
