Oh, it is technique... And I am not talking about yours lacking - buy mine! I was more talking about stick banging than proper flying.

The moment I sort out the tail of 450 that sits on my bench since, well, last year? - I'll let you try it so you can compare like for like (actually same 450s against each other) and HXT900 vs TGY servos... I bet you'll find difference relatively small and not affecting your progressing with skills, and yet visible so you will know it is there

Speaking of which - you might need to give me a hand to set that ZYX properly on that heli! O : )

Default So far, so good

Just put a 3D-H in an HK-450 Pro. I have the AR-7200BX in a Blade 450X, but the 3D-H was my first flybarless setup from scratch. Some of the menus are different from the Spektrum/BeastX, and there are fewer of them (at least parameters), but all in all, it's pretty easy to understand and setup. It seems as solid as the AR-7200BX. So far (just twenty flights)...

now is a good time to get one! the 3D-H disappeared not so long ago and when it came back, it was the new V2 already that supports s-bus and satellite rx functionality i have been using mine for about a year now (V1) and it has been flawless

Yeah same here haha took me a couple hours to figure it out, throw the manual out and download the beastx manual

i had problems initially with mine. the light was coming on but nothing else happened like you are describing. turned out that i had all of the connections for servos and esc in the controller the wrong polarity. spun them all 180 degrees and instant success.

I got this sorted.... turns out I was failing to configure for receiver type, on power up.....

Only did one test flight... but appears to fly well.

good. I think my problem was not having the Sat. rx not in the right place. I got it to bind but having a little trouble setting it up on the 300x. the beast x manual is a lot better and correct the 3d-h manual is completely wrong. I have never programed a 90 degree swash plate

The 3DH-V2 is now available in the US warehouse!

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arch=3D-H%20V2

This is a great FBL unit for the price.. And like others have said before just use the AR7200BX or beastX manual to set it up they are identical..

I had a ZYX-S on my Tarot 450 Pro V2 belt drive and I spent months trying to get it dialed in with no success. Mainly tail issues. Could never get rid of a slight tail wag no matter how smooth (vibes) I got the heli and no matter what I did to the settings in the gyro. I finally gave up and bought the 3D-H (v1) and gave it a try on the same heli. Slapped it on and the heli was absolutely solid and stable with no changes to the pots on the gyro. I have since bought a Bigaole V3 (they make the 3D-H for HK) and installed it on the Tarot. I moved the 3D-H over to my Walkera V450D01 and both heli's fly awesome!

The ZYX is a great unit and not knocking it. I just couldn't get it to work on that particular bird. If you want a gyro you can put on and go fly, the 3D-H is the way to go. If you like constantly tinkering with programming a gyro through a computer, stick with the ZYX-S.

Default The New Turnigy 3D-H Flybarless System

I'm pretty happy with it, i use it in a tarot 450 pro with ds410m on cyclic and hks9257 on tail. It doesn't fly spot on, but it is now my best flying heli.

Got mine up and running in the Blade 450X too. Must say... that the manual is somewhat difficult to figure out. I got stuck on the binding with a Spektrum Satellite but the forum folks had the answer. It really works just as well as the AR7200BX .. at least for the way I am flying.

Is it Tru the pods are reverse? What's a good start point for pot number 3 on a 450 heli? The one that controls the way the tail stops?

Do you have a torque tube or belt? If you have a belt the by is twisted the wrong way. If you have a torque tube then the blades are backwards. The tail blade holders should turn counter clock wise and the the main blades clock wise

I bought a Turnigy 3D-H Version 2 in May 2014. Haven't used it yet, but getting ready to install in a blade 300x heli. At time of ordering, the hobbyking USA warehouse was out of stock, so had to get it from hobbyking china warehouse. Took about ten days to arrive. So get this......they sent me a previously used item! The unit has scratches and scuffs from obvious use. I kept the online help person occupied for nearly an hour expressing my displeasure. They told me the unit was certified to be fully operational or they would not have sent it. Decided to keep it rather than jump through all their hoops for returning.

Glad to hear the beastx manual can be used for setup. T'would be great to finally get some use out of it. I'm wondering, if these work as well as others say.....why are they not listed as a normal (but currently out of stock) inventory item in any of the hobbyking warehouse's? It's as if they're discontinued. Plus one would think this thread might be more popular. I wonder if pressure from horizon/spektrum caused the turnigy 3D-H to become extinct?
