Default Updating the Scale Forums

Guys bear with us during the process of updating the scale forums. If you see a thread that should be moved to a different sub-forum please let us know.

We started with 122 pages this morning and it is a bit time consuming.

Why is it that when I browse the forum on the computer I see the subforums and when I use Tapatalk I don't. Should I change some settings or is this "normal"?

Well we've been listening to some of the concerns and had a good discusson in Support and have come up with the following plan

1) Get rid of Current Scale Projects
2) Have build projects into Large (790 and up) and Small (<790)
3) Put Pics back into Main Forum as a sticky
4) Detail labelling on the other sub-fora to make it clear that they are topic related comments, questions or tips wrt Electronics/Fuselage etc ....

There are some other very excellent scale forum sites but they contain some really complex and dedicated builds - on HF we want to allow newbies, such as myself, an environment where they can grow and hopefully gain some tips from the more experienced and Scale Masters.

I know there is a longer thread down below (https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...=651697&page=4) where most of the early pros and cons were aired... But I'm curious now after nearly two years in the new format how others like it. And also from the moderators whether they detect any trends in visit rates. I applaud the effort that has gone into the changes, but wonder if they've had the desired effect, which as I understand it was to make it more user-friendly to newcomers to the scale scene. For myself, I seldom go to the subforums (except the one where I have a thread), and tend to spend more time elsewhere.
