Default trex 800 flight time

currently under setup pass from fix endpoint to cc gov, all my flight are about the same 85% flat got 4min with somme spare about 3.85 each cell after 4min. on gen ace 65c 12s 5000mah,, want to know want is your flight time with head speed you use. and what battery size. I'm afraid will get 3.30 min with gov since I got a nitro start to love the filght time of 11min, so want to keep the 800 around 4min, 4.30min not less. 6000mah lipo will help or the extra weigh will kill the mah gain?

3.85V means that the battery is only 50% used, so you can fly for a good bit longer. You could easily fly 6 minutes, you would still have 25% remaining (about 3.75V roughly)

Seems pointless considering bigger batteries when you are only using half of the capacity of the batteries you have.

I dont have a Trex 800 but i have a Goblin 770 which I'd guess should fly with similar headspeed. 1700-1800 is good for sport to mild 3D

I spin my 800 Zeals at 1900 which CC is very happy with using the 850mx motor. I have my timer set to 5:00 minutes.

Forget about cell voltage. Check how many mAh goes back in when balancing your lipos. I fly mine at 2000 governed (kontronik) and fly easily 4 minutes with 5000mAh lipos. 3900-4100 mAh is what charger puts back. General rule is not to use more than 80% of your lipo.

Regards.

mAh number is your best bet to calculate flight time.
