Default New to Synergy - E6 - How to pin the boom ?

Hi,

I just join the Synergy group...with my new E6.

Have a question... there are two threaded holes on the main boom clamp...
Are these use to pin the boom ? If yes, what screw do I use as I do;t seems to have it and the manual didn't say anything about pinning the boom.

Jonathan

I just drill them with a 1/16 bit and used split pins I found at my local hardware store, I glued the ends with jb weld.

Yes they are but I have yet to see someone who has pinned their booms. Myself on both my E6 and my E7 have not pinned them and works great, clamps do the job.

Yeah I have never had a boom clamp as tight as these do. No issues at all.

If you do want to pin the boom anyway, there are plenty of places to get to it.

Oh boy I missed this one I thought you were talking about the struts when you mentioned pinning my mind went to the struts, I should take more time to read thru you are talking about the clamps on the heli they dont require any thing.BTW I put 3mm grub screws in those clamps just for a finished look.

Boom clamps on the E6-E7 are like a death grip on those booms. They are not going anywhere or slipping, no need for pinning.
