POLISH YOUR SHAFT...... Mother's wax

That's the great part of this hobby. You can experiment and try different things. Read the post and it sounds like they are talking about polishing the mainshaft to smooth out the surface as opposed to waxing per se. That would definitely make it smoother and any decrease in friction is a good thing. Might try it, but would still put some kind of lube even on a polished mainshaft. Again, personal prefence and use whatever works for you.
