Like the look!

Irony that you made me go to facebook even I swear I would never.. oh well..

As long as you can save/load setups that's great for my side

Looking forward to trying it. Interested to know if, since the Datapod is just an editor, will you still need to buy one to program the Vortex, once the software is available? Obvioulsy I have one already, so it changes nothing for me, but I'm just curious as to how it will affect the overall price point of the Vortex. Logic would suggest that it would no longer be needed, unless you needed a field programmer, but that would be a choice thing.

Sure you still need the DataPod for the USB Port :-)
Will the Software have any kind of autoupdate for the Unit? So we dont have to run 3 exes to update everything :-)

I thought there was a cheaper, Spartan, USB adapter.

I especially like the fact that you can see values from all banks at the same time. Looks very very powerfull, and more helpfull that in some other softwares I've used.

How many times I ended up forgetting about doing the same thing on all banks on some other units, just because it was not intuitive..

looking good..

The Flash-LInk is not compatible with it. At present only the DataPod can be used for interfacing.

It is a possibility but not high on the development list. Smartphones have higher priority.

No. Starting from V3 and onwards only.

I don't like Vbar on this point and hope that computer for Vortex is only alternative choice, do not have any special function that must set with computer only.

So what does the software do that the data pod cant? It was my understanding the the data pod you could make any change that was needed to fine tune the unit.

Very cool. I'm starting a goblin 570 build next week and have chosen the vx1n over the ikon and looking forward to seeing how it flies.

I'm interested in what will change with programming once the software comes out too.

My guess is programming will be the same for both

Some people don't want a datapod and prefer a laptop to set up and tune their machines.

Did this software get released? The Facebook page doesn't work for me (hate that site) and I don't see anything on the Spartan Website.

Cheers
Tim
