Unhappy First crash

First crash after 24 flight on my 550U
Was doing reversing rainbow and slammed full negative into the dirt.
Boom, brace, tail pushrod, tail fin, belt, one cyclic servo gears stripped, blades, and frame...now, seems like is not completely cracked.I applied some pressure and is not all the way cracked. Was thinking to put some epoxy and see. What do you guys think??

There was a dog nearby, at the moment of the impact he stopped and looked at me...I would have loved to know what he was thinking

Now on the web to order spares....soon will be in the air again...sucks anyway

Aggh! Miserable sight!

In my last crash, the plastic servo horns broke nice and clean, saving my servo gears on cycling.

These things happen so fast, nothing anyone can really do.

Good luck with the rebuild!

looks bad if the frame near the servo or the main shaft is cracked I wouldn't as that's a critical area.

Dang that sucks. I've plowed mine a few times and never busted the frames. You must have hit pretty hard!

Yea, full negative into the ground. Everything happened so fast....I flicked hold when she was already disintegrated

Still waiting for parts to come...The day before the crash I supposed to set up SL on the ikon, then works took all my spare time..this had to happen

Ouch... s happens man, sounds like it was too quick for SL to have made any difference. Hope you get her airborne again in short order.

Same here! While I am going to pick up the debris of the heli I keep asking myself why I did not hit TH....But, saved my x3 yesterday, someone (was flying alone) shout out hit hold! I start thinking that the heli God is now next to me while flying!

Sounds like my first crash on my original 6HV. I had only a few flights on it and forgot to lock-tite the swash balls with red locker. I also failed to do a good pre-flight and it went straight into pure concrete. Essentially it totaled the airframe on initial inspection, but later on I found that it would've been totally salvageable. I ended up buying a whole new frame anyway and had lots of spares as a result

I just hope that after the re-build she still fly as beautifully as before the crash!
Parts should be here in the next few days...most probably will get her done by next week end.

Got some of the new ball links too, but forgot to order the Compass ball sizing tool...as usual always something missing..

Finally had the time to fix the 550U after my last crash. Got 12 flights yesterday, as usual supersmooth. Did some practice for the upcoming 3DX Asia, even tho i ll be competing with the Chronos, I am comfortable to practive with it. Smooth, precise, agile and powerfull when needed.
My buddy was so impressed that he just order one!! He will love it too!
