Default Gaui 200 FBL

I read the X1 thread a few times and order up a Firefox 100. Also got me a MH head for the G200 that I was going to use on the "X1" build.

I came to my senses and realized I had everything to convert my beloved Gaui 200 to FBL! (I hate to break down a perfectly good heli though I didn't fly this one too much anymore due to the flybar...)

So, last night I installed a K-Bar and Lemon DSM2 Sat.
Set it all up and am close to a maiden. She looks great without the Flybar. I'm debating de-casing the K-Bar for some weight reduction.

I'll update with some pics later...

The 200 is still a great flyer, it flies very nicely with the kbar. I'd vote against de-casing it though, the 200 wont even feel the few grams the plastic case weights.

Yeah, I'll try it with the case first-I'm getting lazy. Waiting on a Lemon Satellite to maiden it. The first sat quit working; it was one of the tiny, uncased ones. Have a Cased one coming.

Default Wow!

Well, finally got around to performing a re-maiden as an FES.
All I can say is Wow! I had forgotten how much headspeed this thing has (5200 rpm). The collective pop is explosive! Amazing that the tail can keep up with a hard punch; just a hint of kick and then right back in line!

Love it all over again.
Left the "generic" FBL unit cased, used a Lemon DSMX sat (smaller, lighter, and more range than Spek). I didn't weigh before and after, but it has to be close to the same weight, with a Rx and Gyro, plus the flybar hardware removed.

I have to thank the guys on the "X1" thread for getting me motivated to do this, in a kind of sideways fashion.

Nice, what motor do you have? 2s or 3s?

I've kept the Hyperion 5300Kv on 2S.
Plenty of power. This thing flies really well; it's too bad Gaui discontinued this model.
Really nice micro... Can fly this close in pretty easily.

I also have an X2 for when I want 3S power. But it requires a bit more space to fly.
