Default Xp12a issues

Flashed my xp12a with the BLHeli toolstick, I removed the resistor outlined in the picture, it's still not recognizing throttle signal. I completely removed the resistor in the picture, am I supposed to short its pads too? I couldn't remove it without pretty much ripping it off with the soldering tip. Click image for larger version

Here's my connection at the main board. I thought it looked pretty clean?

I had an xp12a and it gave me problems also....it's easier to just pay a little more, get a castle esc, and call it a day.

Am I doing something wrong here? It looks like I flashed it right, it's just not getting throttle signal. I have tried reversing input polarity but that didn't help.

nope, it looks fine, you may just have a faulty esc. Like I said, I had the same problem. It worked on the bench for about ten minutes and after that....nothing. I also didn't like how flimsy the whole thing felt. Felt like I could break wires with normal handling.
