Default Furion 6 at 6S?

I am considering building a Furion 6 and am curious how it works at 6S. I am a light 3D and mild sports flier. So any comments about overall performance and flight times with a 6S 5000 would be appreciated.

I'm flying my Fusion 50 at 6s, airframes and weight are very similar.. flying well with 550mm blades and about 2k headspeed, 6+ minute flights.. hope this helps

MA sells a kit for flying the Furion on 6s. Shorter boom and belt. I think 550 blades are used on 6s.

I just read the manual and its the same kit. It comes with two pinions and two suggested setups: one for 6S and one for 10S.

What I was asking is for some feedback about the performance at 6S from someone who flies it that way.

I flew mine on 6s and my buddy still does. Not a power house but will fly the style you are wanting to do.

pretty much settled on Furion as my next build and I think I will give 6S a try. I can always convert later. Still interested in opinions if anyone else stumbles on this thread.

If you Google "Furion 6 on 6S" you will see 3-4 videos. Looks like it flies like most 6S powered heli's..very capable but no powerhouse. I recommend 12S baby!

It is an upgrade kit not a different helicopter. I'm guessing if you just put a 6s pack in a Furion that is using the stock boom you will not be able to get the heli to balance right, it will fly tail heavy.

Furion 6s Promo.mov (1 min 9 sec)

The specs are listed on the "about" section of youtube

I run mine on 6s balances out just fine ... I run a 3000life pack on under side od battery tray ... the majic number for cg is 1200g in battery box .. I run a hkIII 890 @ 2000 head get about 7 minutes ... getting ready to buy some 4s 4400 x2 ... the 890 kv will let me run 8s with just a pinion swap ....
