Default EVO 500 V2 From PhoenixRCTech

I had a couple of these kits with me and I just want to share a video I shoot yesterday, I've seen a couple of post from other forums/threads where people say that after 3000 rpms the tail will explode, I can tell you is not the tail but the stock torque tube, on mine I've replaced it with an align torque tube as this heli is 100% compatible with align parts.

Video:

PhoenixRCTech EVO 500 V2 (4 min 12 sec)

The Heli has great quality, other than the torque tube it is a great machine for people starting in 3D flying, it is cheap on repairs so you won't regreat having one of this babes.

The battery has a tray like in bigger helis, similar to the Trex 700's battery tray, it is a FBL head and uses standard servos, right now I am running cyclic on stock Phoenix Servos and kds servo on the tail.

Pinion is 13 but I feel 14 will give more power for hard 3D maneuvers and keep tic tocs steady without the heli coming down, altough that issue could just be me .

I'll shut a video with a 14T pinion later on to see how it performs

The servos look like they are angled more than the 500L. It almost looks like a Gaui.

Thanks for the pictures, that is the main site for Phoenix Helis.

I am happy so far with this little machine, and I own a couple of pro grade helis (Atom 500, Atom 7HV, Goblin 700, Trex 700L canopy speed, KDS Agile 5.5, Gaui NX4 Gasser, Trex 600N, Minituare aircraft 700 and 700N, trex 450DFC).

I had this on the garage and decided to give it a try over the weekend and the result was positive, I'll post a second video with a 14T pinion to see it flying with more power.

If anyone is interested on them PM me, I know Emely(manufacturer) from quite a while now and can get your hands on those little birds.

I'll love to have my hands on the 550 from them, looks promising.

Regards,
joag

Big question is - will the trex 500 tt parts fit in this -
- is so - I really like it - the double pitch slider looks good...

Full compatible with the T-Rex 500, I have a friend which crashed his T-Rex 500 and I sold him EVO parts to repair it. if you want one let me know and I'll let you know how to get it. We can ship it directly from Factory to your shipping address.

Just take my advise and replace the stock torque tube, I have already notified the manufacturer about the torque tube issue.

joag

This kit has been around for some time.... Long before the 500L Align kit came out.

I almost picked one up last summer. I had heard the model use parts from the ESP and the Pro model but updated the location of the motor. I didn't get one ..... as my EP model has been updated in every area. So I didn't see it as an upgrade.

As you can see from the video it is good quality, only thing I recommend is to change the stock torque tube with the align torque tube.

I was running a bit low because I didn't have the right pinion for it but I'll try to upload a second video with the pinion that brings it to life .
