It was its 408th flight. It was cloudy and windy today. I let it get too far downwind for me to see it well. I could not tell if it was getting closer or further away. When it became a small dot, I just cut power and watch the little dot go down behind the tree line.

I looked in the vicinity to make sure it did not damage any property or hurt anyone. I've written it off as a loss.

I think you should not give up just yet, I remember reading on Helifreak about a guy that lost his heli but found it about 6 months later intact but not at a location he thought it had gone down at. So there is always hope.

You could have used your Jeti tx signal strength to find it, has been done before.

I lost a new heli in about the same condition, cut power and watched it fall out of sight. I spent every day for a month looking for it only to be returned 3 years later! It landed by the side of the adjacent corn field I was looking in...go figure!

I am one step ahead. I have all the parts I need to modify a new kit to spin 606/96 blades with the 1:4.5 tail gear ratio. I also have the new upgraded swash, so it would be silly for me not to build another one; this time as a 12S stretch. All I need now is a new kit, a 600 size 12S motor, and 606mm blades. I am going to wait till after I finish building the 806 before taking on other projects.

I received a call today from a stranger who found the helicopter by a local golf course while hiking with his family. It does not looks so bad considering it fell from from about 125 feet and has been braving the elements for almost 2 years.

Amazing you finally got it back. I guess I should put my name on my Helis. Do you think anything is salvageable?

Your breaking a AMA rule and now a FAA rule by not having your info on your helis if there over a pound in weight.
ive always put my name and number and AMA number in all my aircraft just in case. then you have a chance of getting it back

He's in Canada. We don't care about AMA or FAA rules
