Default Gpro won't connect to PC

Guys I'm trying to connect my Gpro to the pc through the USB connection but it won't connect!

Even the status led is not working as if the device is dead

Does anyone have a clue?

Do you have a battery plugged into the Gpro? It won't power up just by plugging in the USB cable. Also, I know it sounds stupid but make sure you have the cord plugged all the way into the Gpro. It can be tough to get it all the way in sometimes, but when you do it will look like this.

No, the light won't come on with just a battery plugged into it. Have you tried binding your satellite or whatever kind of receiver your using?

So when you plug the battery into the gpro and then plug the gpro into your computer, does your computer make a noise signifying you've connected something to it through the usb port? I just confirmed on mine that all you need is the battery plugged into it and then plug it into the computer and open the gpro software and then a few seconds after that it should say connected. But if you plug it into your computer and it doesn't recognize that you've plugged something in, it could be a bad usb cable. Believe it or not that was the exact issue I had when recently installing an MSH Brain on mine. Couldn't get it to connect on three different computers and it turned out to be the cable.

Also, here's a link to a setup video from Align. It's good information except setting the neutral position for the rudder is wrong.

In my thread GPRO info only I posted were myself and others had this problem. In my case I didn't have the plug all the way in the GPRO unit. It seemed like it was but it wasn't. The black insulation on the cable will be touching the unit when fully plugged in. Check that and see if that is the problem.

When I connect the battery and the USB cable my computer makes a beep recognizing that something is connected to the USB but the Gpro software shows that the device is disconnected

Could it be a USB driver problem?

I'm using XP windows, does anyone knows where I could get the latest drivers?

Wow, XP is pretty old now. That might be an issue. I would recommend going to aligns website and getting the latest software. Might have to contact them about the issue if you can't get it figured out. Have you tried connecting it to a more up to date system?

Awesome! Ya, when you said XP I was a little concerned seeing as that was out way before Gpro or most other FBL systems.
