Nice radio Hemp! and batteries. Out of all the clubs here in KC I think only three of us run Futaba. You can see part of my 8FG in the pick above. I went back and forth with the 8 or the 14 when my 7C got stolen out of my truck. I figured learning the 8 was going to be hard enough without all the Tele stuff lol!

On the batteries I really like the power I get from the Revo Diamond and the size, but my Pulse still stay balanced way better.

I believe they've now effectively discontinued the 8FG in favor of the 14SG so the choice has become pretty easy.

I'd encourage you to give the SILVER HV packs a shot. No one else has anything like them.

Jesse, was that you flying in the center at San Carlos Airport? The folks in the crowd were blown away. Most of them had no idea what a modern helicopter could do. Helis definitely got the biggest crowd reaction.

I was looking at those. How do you charge them? I have a PL8, 10XP and a 10S.

Sorry for the thread-jack! We should probably take this to PM or into the Revolectrix forum if you have more questions.

Your PL8 will charge them, however for max performance you will need the USB (FUIM) adapter so you can modify one of the presets to enable increasing the per-cell charge voltage. I've been terminating mine at 4.27V and am just under 100 cycles each on two HV packs without any change in IR. Or you can charge them as normal (4.2V) for extended life over a typical pack charged to that level.

I think they are discontinuing the 8J for the 10j, but I think my 8FG is still in demand. I will look into those Silvers, thanks!

Nice green blades! By the way, where do you fly in the area? I'm always looking for new fields and other heli pilots to hang out with.

Thanks, they show up nicely in the sky too. I fly out by Component Dr and Orchard Pkwy, other side of 101 form San Jose Airport. Usually out early in the mornings weekdays and weekends, sometimes in the afternoon too.

Cool. Is there enough space to fly a 700 safely? I feel pretty cramped at the other places I've tried.
