Chinese.

It would seem all the stock align sport/SE etc belt drive shafts are 41mm
The TT shaft is 47mm... I have one of each... they have the same pitch slider travel but the belt drive housing is more narrow.

The one in the picture is wider like the TT design and needs a longer shaft.

I have not managed to find a 47mm belt drive shaft... yet.

The sellers of this item do not seem to have spares for this unit listed.

I have sent a few emails... otherwise it's a problem.... does look nice though.

"Out of interest; what is this tail assembly from? It looks really nice. " its an upgrade selling on ebay for the 450 , and yeah its very tight and well made. but for now ,cant find a shaft replacement , so once its bent the original housing cant be used . although you could take off the side plate and slider and mount that to a stock housing . by the way the shaft on the end has a sleeve /spacer that slides on to the end , the shaft is the same diameter . and the extra length is at the end opposite the slider , about 8 mm

Yeah I see the problem.... I bought one before I realised it seems to have a custom shaft.

It only seems to be for sale on a few ebay sites... I've emailed them to ask about spare 47mm tail rotor shafts. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

Click on "GO ADVANCED" button.

Scroll down aind the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS section and click on that.

Uploading from computer, click on "Choose File" button and it should take you to your photo file and choose a picture. When it returns back to the Choose File screen.. If so, scroll right to the UPLOAD button.

After it loads there is a button at the bottom, "Close this Window".

Should take you back to the original posting page to Submit Reply. . .

Here are yer shafts, http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet...e-color/Detail ,
Used them when I built the same from align/tarot parts, get one of these to use the gear/belt pulley, http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet...400-CNC/Detail They also had just the pulley, but don't see 'em now.
Mine used, IIRC, a 1 mm shim on the rotor side, 4 mm on the other, as the pulley is wider to accommodate the grub screw, actually, both sides, I made my own, then found these, http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p...3#.UZAXKL7n-ic

That's all I got for ya, hope it helps...... Greg....

Here is what U can do like mine, same shaft from CNC 48mm with the detachable gear, easy for replacing bent shaft or belt. Also the gear is positioned by a set screw so shims are no needed for the collar.

Thank you both.

I'm sure I'll get something done with those ideas.

Default Follow up on tail shaft

I emailed a couple of the ebay stores selling this part.

One store replied that they did not have the part.

The other for the listing below was more helpful.
