No, not a ball bearing. That is the standard flybar globe. A ball bearing wouldn't work there because the outer race would be in contact with both sides of the slot, and hence it wouldn't turn. I've never had any problems with the stock set up, I just make sure to lube it every now and then.

This version of the head is larger in diameter, so it is beefier. I have change the location of the Jesus bolts and the clamp slot, such that the clamp slot is perpendicular to the bolts. Therefore the nut's and bolts compress the head around the shaft sleeve(and shaft) more naturally. I'm hoping that this will eliminate the need to play around with the head to get the best flush mounting.

The blade grips are the same as the ones from mars480.com, but are bored throughout for 8mm OD bearings. The mixing arms have more settings as well, so you can play around until you find what suits your style. The feathering shaft diameter is also increased to 4mm for greater survivability. What you can't see in this picture is that the dampers are held in place with two C-clips on either side. I put those in because I was tired of loosing dampers when I crashed.

What remains is to have these parts machined and tested.

Haha, No problem guys. I'll have to have a few machined then. I've also got a few other goodies in the pipeline.
