Default Align GPro info

I have just almost finished the setup for the Align 550 dominator... I took the advice of some of you guys to set the governor function using the talon 90, as it was suggested it's better to have the rotor speed.. However it may be that by doing so .. On the V1.2 GPro software the negative collective does not highlight when I throttle back so I can't get the pitch set at low level.. For my flying I aim for plus 10 and minus 5 or so... The only way I can set the low pitch is on the tx dx7 i...by reducing the end point, not the software..
Do you guys think that is ok ?
Thank you
Al

I guess what I am asking is.. Should I reset the talon to factory settings minus reverse (which needed to be done.for trex) Will this allow full function of the GPro,negative collective which does not highlights.. (Throttle stick pitch set at100 to 100 or figures re GPro software} setting.... As pulling down the stick to low it does not make the negative settings operational..So I can't set minus 6.. Thus why I thought of using ATV to reduce pitch on the tx?

When doing the setup in GPro you want to have a linear throttle and pitch curve in the transmitter. Once your transmitter has been calibrated so that +/- 100 is seen in Gpro, the only ATV you would change would be throttle when calibrating the ESC. The throttle has nothing to do with pitch and is a separate channel.

Make sure you have linear throttle and pitch curve when doing the setup.

Thank you kfjenson. For the reply. I had exactly that. 100 to 100 but the. GPro software does not see negative pitch for some reason all rest works perfectly.. I can only think it's the talon settings which I tweaked for governor mode which some of the guys suggested to set for higher head speed while flying the 550

I have reset the talon to factory settings and gone through whole GoPro set up. Eventually to my amazement the software highlighted..No idea why or how but the Heli is programmed for flight. All it needs is a nice day for maiden
Thanks everyone
Al
