Default Birthday flights...

Finally got my computer straight and was able to get vids from last weekends successful flights uploaded to YT. My first figure 8's, if you can call them that. They are a little messy, but hey, I was flying around and am happy about that.

Was not that nervous today when I started my first flight but as you may already know, my first flight was my last for I crashed it. I had my Flycam2 mounted but the video did not come out for some reason. Just did a test and the camera still records fine (same SD card too). Not sure what happened to the video. Maybe next week when I head to the field I will be able to get some on board video while zooming around.

Well, here they are; my first two FF flights with some sloppy fig 8's.

Second video will not embed properly for some reason so if you want to watch it, you will have to go to YT.

Watch it here.

Thanks guys. And yea Lock, I wish I could edit the audio of those vids but... Can't do it yet. Will get something running soon. The noise didn't bother me too bad. I was focused... That day. Just hopped on the sim for a minute with Chevy and flew like I was supposed to today. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!

You will get there Otto. Give it time Bro and sim, sim, sim, sim, sim. I swear, if it was not for Phoenix and the experienced pilots I fly online with, I wouldn't be doing what I am doing.

Okay who is gonna chip in and get Otto a phoenix sim?.......

Sorry Otto, J/K it was kind of a hassle keeping all that crap straight when I did mix's chip in on the b-day gift. So it was a one time only deal. If it were easier I would gladly organize it....but if someone else does, I would chip in for ya.

Mix, any cheapo editor will do it. Not sure if windows movie maker will or not, but the one that came with your cam should....if not, check out video impressions it does and I know I got it for free......cant remember if it was a hook-up 'free' or just a free d/l. Just do a search for it.

Good stuff MIX!
Yes, that commentary is a hoot.

And yes, with a simple video editing program you will be able to cut out the original sound and bring in your own music.

P.S. Nice low fly by too!

Nice flying Mix, you really moved up the ranks fast. Flying w/other people sure does help, I finally got to see someone else fly their heli yesterday in real life, and it was really cool to watch.

nice flying mix, i should be flying like that but not there yet. flying with other people that are better than you always helps(sim or real life). as far as the cam thing if you don't stop the vid with the shutter button it doesn't save the video you were recording.

Well, when I FOUND the camera (it shot off in the 3' tall weeds on impact), I looked at the LCD screen and it was still recording. I am pretty sure I hit the stop button and saw the VL screen (I think that is what it is), then I turned off the camera. When I went to play it, it was like a green screen of lines, played for a minute and then stopped with the audio playing the last sound heard over and over.

I think I posted this but the good nes is I did a test with the camera at home after the crash and it still works. I iwll have to just keep playing with it to see if I can figure out what the heck I am doing. I had a similar problem trying to do my first test flight with it on. Took a few tries to get a decnt vid going. But I am sure it is something I am doing for I have seen many great vids with it by others.

I am using a 1GB card. I thought I read on some forum some where that some cards to not work as well as others. Not sure though.
