You might want to try the fuselage from the Walkera 120D02 or whatever it is. I forget the exact model number now, but its their two-bladed flybarless red/silver Airwolf. You might be able to fit it around the 130x and repaint it to match Airwolf.

Any idea how to get a Airwolf body for the mSR? Thanks!

Are these Airwolf mSR bodies still available?

Wondering that, too. I'm not too late, am I? I know the thread was started 14 years ago and last post was 7 years ago, but in the grand cosmic scheme of things, that's not a long time. lol.

A friend had the Blade Msr for indoor usage (small living room).
Personally I had the bigger 120SR with the stupid 45 degree stabibar (and I mainly tried to fly it outdoors).

The 120SR didn't fly any good in a double gymnasium / table tennis hall either; outdoors it was worse.
Friend told me it looked like I have absolutely no steering skills so badly it flew in 2012.

The Msr is only a brushed heli.
The best is to keep the weight as low as possible.

It is 2024, so it is advisable to get rid of any 45 degree stabibar, to go with a flybarless head and a modern Fbl controller (at least As3x) which offers flight modes.

A stability mode in an up-to-date FC works IMHO significantly better than this mechanical stabibar mess where you constantly have to fight against it.

Full fuselage like Apache Airwolf? Pardon me?

Get a brushless heli like Xk K110 (1s, 62g, 450-520/530mah lipos which has more current available with the bigger lipos, outrunner BL main motor)!

A Msr only has this stupid 1.25 Pin plug!

Or go with an Omp M1 Evo (2s) / Goosky S1 (2s) Legend, Eachine E150 / Yu Xiang F150 (3s)...

These BL helis at least have a minimal chance to significantly better compensate the additional fuselage weight.

A 350g heli like M2 Evo or Goosky S2 Legend probably makes even more fun.

I can't recommend to put it onto a small underpowered brushed heli like the Msr, Msrx, McpS, NanoCpx, Nano S2/S3,...

Brushed motor prices from HH are way too high (19.99 for a Nano main motor) too and were not of high quality.

I don't get it where you want to fly a heavy weighted Msr with a full fuselage; surely not in a smaller European living room?!

Background:
A Msr was a pure beginner FP heli, with an additional mechanical stabibar so you can hover around in your living room without the expected CP-like drift on nick/roll (default unstable behavior) and required pilot reflexes coming from a FBL head (no flybar) and NOT being initially required to train basic CP heli reflexes on a Sim for years to be able to fly the CP or a Fbl FP.

Just have a Coax as the very first model, get the Msr as the second heli and you can step up on the heli career ladder and progress until you go for a flybarless FP or a CP and brushless helis.

The brushed main motor QC was everything else than reliable on a NanoCpx. Many motors died within ~8-20 flights; only two made it to ~90 flights according to my written flight log.

I can't recommend to put more and more money into this outdated heli design which was only meant as a small step up on the heli career ladder.
You better close the hole in your purse as fast as you can :-)

The XK plastic is much better than the Blade Nano plastic anyway.
No, I have no direct feedback from the friend how many times the canopy pins broke off on his previous Msr or Mcpx; but it was too often on my NanoCpx (CP, flybarless head, FC with As3x).

Isn't it way more fun to fly an Apache Airwolf fuselage outdoors with brushless power as a true CP heli and full manual steering and no fighting back of a stabibar
(a flybar is something different: It is 90° degree on a paddle CP heli)?!?

Thomas, i agree about not using brushed mechanisms for scale fuselages. But "Apache Airwulf" seems to be brong. Airwulf was an fantasy helicopter based on Bell 222.
