Default I want to hear the RC helicopter lies you've heard (or told) here

I want to hear the biggest lies in the hobby. Rules are as follows:

1. Be respectful. You may not tag the lie to a specific individual or hobby store unless the lie is already in the public domain and the liar is a public figure.

2. Be respectful. No political commentary or i will close the thread.

3. Be respectful. You may not "challenge" another poster's lie. Not even a emoticon. Positive feedback is allowed and encouraged in any form or emoticon , , , etc.
4. If you do not have a good lie of your own you are encouraged to give positive feedback to another poster.

I'll go first.

RTF means Ready to fly.

It will cost $1,200 to build a decent 450 helicopter...

Just about every word from one of the mall heli Kiosk guys.

Also the opinion that you must have the absolute bleeding edge best gear, or it's junk. Like when my first TX broke (My fault, I actually physically busted the thing) I asked around for what is a good radio to get. I was toying around with getting a DX7, or the like. Several people actually told me that if I did not get a $600 radio, I should not get one at all.
