Would likely work LOOK wise but be way too heavy. Thin Polysterene Sheets bent to shape and Glued together might be light enough. Silly Paper nonsense more fun anyway :-)

The 2 sides are now "Painted" Black, gotta find some thin clear sheeting to make front of "Bubble" and glue betwixt the 2 side plates and attach the tail "boom" with a wee piece of cello tape maybe add some Decals and other details and Blast it around in my shop till it disintegrates hehehe

Not looking to win contest just make it look different than the millions of other v911's :-)

Another example of making things look diffrent, someone was kind enough to upload various designs of Paper Canopies in another forum. Print it, cut it out , bit of cello tape or Elmers glue and voila, fit to Heli then "Paint" with Clear Laquer aka Clear Nail Polish :-) to stiffen it up a bit. Printing on 100 Pound Card stock probably help immensely as well.

@TecPro EXACTLY!!!!! giggles, Cheating, got a 1:48 Scale MD500D model on its way to use to make a Shell for my v911's may attempt thin polysterene sheets as well as the Syrofoam and Acetone and even 3 ply's of Papier Mache and see if they ALL will still fly and if they do then decide which is easiest. the Styrofoam Peanuts and Acetone my least favorite idea due to volatility issues.

I think one of the motors is going out on the yellow V911. It was spinning clockwise (looking from above) which sounds like the main motor. The tail motor was really hot. I put a battery in last night and something on the back of the board was burning opposite of the red battery wire. I regret purchasing it now because it didn't last a week. I robbed the battery pickups and put them on my blue/white one and got it going again. It's very obvious how much more stable the yellow one was. I'm going to purchase another blue/white WL Toys V911 BNF and use the yellow one for parts.

http://www.ujtoys.com/UJ4705-3-CH-RC...-p/uj4705g.htm

Minimum sizes for Canape/Fuselage = 8"L x 1.5"w x 2"H On a V911. Check out some of the others that are at least 8" long.
